Hello and welcome to BEMER ON TOUR, my blog about the beautiful game's holy grounds. As a longtime football and stadium enthusiast I have visited numerous matches in Belgium and several stadiums during my trips to other countries. Things however really took off after my first match abroad in 2015. I enjoy visiting stadiums on non-matchdays, but going to a game is without a doubt the best and most authentic way to experience the power and appeal of a football ground. After that trip I quickly visited some other matches and it has been a big part of my trips inside and outside of Belgium ever since. One of my colleagues at work gave me the idea to start a blog about these journeys. I was a bit reluctant at first, because it was never my goal to publish or show anything about this. I have however decided to take the step, since I love reading other people's blogs and stories about this topic and because it is a nice and simple way to gather all information in one place. As already mentioned numerous blogs like this exist already, so do not expect anything shocking. There will be no walls of text and professional photographs, just small reports and pictures from my cell phone. I will consider this as a sort of diary and I will post about current visits, as well as about all matches I did in the past. I have decided to write this blog in English, because it's the easiest way to reach everyone who's interested nowadays. All pictures, texts, tickets, matchday programmes, fanzines and team sheets on this site are mine and mine only.
